PlantGENE Teams

Teams are collaborative groups working on short or long-term projects.

Each project can be led by a PlantGENE member volunteer, Project Coordinator Aimee Malzahn, or a Steering Committee Member. The Team will work together to achieve the project goals.

Volunteers can request to join a team by filling out a short form.

The PlantGENE Blog will cover a variety of topics including methods, recent advances in plant sciences, tips and tricks, and resources. Articles can be original writings or summaries. Topics will be generated by team members and community input.

The Blog Team has started a podcast! We need writers, editors, and interviewers.

The Outreach Team works together to identify outside organizations for potential collaboration, inform the PlantGENE community of ongoing activity, and facilitate collaborations.

The Outreach Team needs volunteers for a variety of activities!

  • Outreach to related scientific societies

  • Facilitating academia-academia collaborations

  • Exploring potential opportunities for collaboration

A network for postdocs/graduate students/technicians is being developed. Below are some ideas for network activities, but we are open to others.
