Tileye Feyissa is a Professor of Plant Biotechnology with experience in Plant Tissue Culture, Genetic Transformation and Molecular Breeding. He has been teaching graduate students in the area of Plant Biotechnology since 2006 after obtaining his PhD from Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, Alnarp, Sweden. He is one of the three founders of Biotechnology Program Unit (Currently Institute of Biotechnology) at Addis Ababa University. He is also the founding member of Ethiopian Youth Academy of Sciences and a fellow of Ethiopian Academy of Sciences. In addition he is a member of professional societies in the area of plant biotechnology and Associate Editor of Ethiopian Journal of Biological Sciences. Currently, Professor Tileye Feyissa is the Dean of College of Natural and Computational Sciences of Addis Ababa University. |
